The Explore Bunyoro campaign brought the Ministry's flagship domestic tourism drive to the Bunyoro Kingdom — showcasing Kibiro's ancient salt springs, Mparo Tombs, Murchison Falls, Itohya Forest and the warm hospitality of the region.
The Explore Bunyoro campaign took Uganda’s domestic tourism promotion to the heart of the Bunyoro Kingdom, highlighting the region’s natural wonders, cultural heritage and investment opportunities.
Visitors and officials toured Kibiro Hot Springs — one of Africa’s oldest salt-production sites — the royal Mparo Tombs, the rainforest canopy of Itohya Forest and the thundering Murchison Falls, while community engagements included a corporate social responsibility visit to Kigorobya Primary School and a car handover to support local tourism transport.
