International Museums Day

Uganda is blessed with diversity of heritage most of which can be seen from museums. The ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, has for the last five years been joining other museums to celebrate international museum day. This year’s Celebrations are being conducted under the international Theme: “Hyper connected Museums: New approaches, new publics.” It aims at pointing out the way museums use technologies and options to attract new visitors. Uganda will celebrate this day under the National Theme, “Uganda Museums at a click.” There will be a museum week from 14th – 20th May 7, 2018 to show case museums activities to the public at the National Museum on plot 5 kira road Kamwokya. The public is welcome to participate and also view their past in digital.
