Kalangala District will host the national celebrations of the United Nations World Tourism Day (WTD) 2017. The WTD is celebrated annually on 27th September all over the world under various themes. The international theme this year is “Sustainable Tourism – a tool for development”.
The national celebrations of the day will be graced by the President of Uganda, HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. As has been the case for previous WTD celebrations, the week before WTD will have a number of activities targeting the youth, politicians, students, sportsmen and the general public both in Kampala and Kalangala districts.
